welcome to the garden

Darn, I seem to have deleted my original post. Short recap.

HOLA Goddesses, it's been two weeks and the sweat, tears, angst, and laughter of our delicious sixth consecutive Party are History. Thanks to Liz, nearly all the countin's done. Money is in the hands of the BCF and our local folks. The openheart woven sculpture is back on the wall of Dolphin Island Care. Susan is living it Easely. Liz is riding North in a Rock Star Bus as we speak. The rest of us continue to cobble our multi-dimensional interests and talents into livelihoods and meaningful lives worth living. We do not see each other as much as we'd like. I would like to propose we use this site as a kind of clubhouse, where we can get together day or night, with or without makeup or clothes. I'll bring the chicken of course. I am sure that someone will bring the wine. And greek olives.

We had a great joyful, productive, happy, intentional event. We have not yet had a chance to share feedback. For those of us whose memories have become unreliable of late, we've learned it is a good thing to write things down in a notebook. And if I could remember where I put my notebooks there would be no problem. :-) I am hoping we can use this as a place to put things where they won't be forgotten: feedback, ideas, suggestions, diatribes, analysis, kudos, gratitude, recipes, complaints, pictures, inspiration, aspiration, stories, and all those associated things we might want to keep track of. I personally have not figured out the picture thing yet--witness the lost first message, but I am going to try right now. There will be a learning curve no doubt.

As the young Lama told me when I was leaving Shinkar Village in Bhutan, before the rains came down and washed away the bridge to Thimpu airport, taking with it the police chief and several cars, "what you lost is where you left it". How reassuring. So, let's leave comments here.

As another wise man said (a man whom Emily Meixell once said "had a face made for radio"--Garrison Keillor of course, on a program called "Writers' Almanac"): "Be well, do good work, and stay in touch." Love to you Goddesses, and of course I include you Jeff.
